National Eye Institute Awards R01 to SEI Investigator
Dr. William J. Brunken was awarded a competitive renewal of his R01 grant from the National Eye Institute. The grant is entitled: Role of Extracellular Matrix in Retinal Development and Disease. Dr. Brunken's primary appointment is in Ophthalmology at Upstate Medical University.
The 2014 Annual Meeting will be hosted by SUNY Upstate Medical University in Syracuse, NY. The keynote speaker will be Patricia A. D'Amore, PhD, MBA, FARVO - Director of Research and Senior Scientist @ Schepens Eye Research Institute - Mass Eye & Ear.

The Research Foundation for the State University of New York through the Brain Network of Excellence is pleased to announce its first round of funding awards. SEI Investigators from all five founding institutions received at least one award.
SEI Investigator Elected to AUPO Research Director's Council
William J. Brunken, PhD, SEI Investigator from SUNY Upstate Medical University, has been elected to serve on the Association of University Professors of Ophthalmology's Research Director's Council for the next five years.
