The 2014 Annual Meeting will be hosted by SUNY Upstate Medical University in Syracuse, NY. The keynote speaker will be Patricia A. D'Amore, PhD, MBA,  FARVO - Director of Research and Senior Scientist @ Schepens Eye Research Institute - Mass Eye & Ear.

OUR MISSION:


To integrate the complementary strengths of the four SUNY Medical Universities and SUNY Optometry into a single SUNY Eye Institute (SEI) in order to enhance research and training in clinical and basic visual sciences in New York State.


Goals are to: 

  • develop pre- and post-doctoral training programs in eye and vision research across the five schools;
  • recruit basic and clinical investigators into eye and vision research;
  • promote and foster collaborative research interactions among vision scientists across the schools; and
  • establish state-of-the-art eye research core facilities at each of the campuses to serve and augment the capabilities of all five schools.

EVENTS

The 12th International Conference on Cognitive Neuroscience - ICON 2014 - will be held in Brisbane, Australia, 27-31 July 2014. The conference focuses on the study of the neural basis of human cognition, especially through brain imaging methodologies, and brings together researchers all with an interest in the relationships between the brain, mind, and behaviour.
